Where lies the end?

image

Ever since I was born or could remember, the coming of Jesus have been ringing everywhere and sometimes, it feels like He’s going to come that very minute especially when listening to a passionate preacher; but am always wrong.

My great grandmother was very expectant of the coming, she spoke enthusiastically about the coming of Jesus until she couldn’t see the day anymore. That was many years ago. My grandmother too was very much like her. Talking about the great coming and yet, it seems like the coming is far away. It seems like something impossible.

Many are suffering and they are praying for the end to come. The coming of Jesus is the only consolation they have. An end that brings an end to all evil. But the end is delaying and many are losing hope.

Now am asking: Where lies the end? Is death the end or is it going to happen exactly like Revelation foretold?

    1. You are right Victor. He will come like a thief in the night, where silence dwells; where alertness is no more. We should always be ready. But sometimes, it seems the end is far away but in actual fact, steps away.

  1. The end surely will come. One thing I learnt is that, eternity can be lived here on earth.
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
    John 17:3 NIV
So whilst we hold on to hope of Christ’s coming, let’s not miss out on developing a working relationship with Him

  2. In Matthew 24:36 (NIV), it quotes “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” So in due time, He Will return on earth when the time is right. All we can do is constantly stay in pray and thank God for every morning we awake to see and live another day. No one knows when, the day, and the time of His coming. I agree with every post before mine: He will be coming soon and He will come as a thief within the night. Stay in prayer and leave all of the day’s challenges in God’s Hands. He Will take care of it all just as long as we stay in prayer and His Word.

  3. Hi there! Thank you for liking my post! It touches my heart that there are still people who think about the Second Coming of Christ. Well, as we can see, the world seems to be busy with a lot of things. Anyway, I just wanna share humbly that I do believe that what is foretold in Revelation would indeed happen. By faith, I don’t know when but I know it will happen and in accordance to the Scriptures. As many prophecies were fulfilled since the Bible times, this is enough for me to take God at His Word. More power to your blog! 🙂

  4. He is not slow to come, but is patient for others who are lost to still turn to Him. Eternity is so much more significant than this life ❤ Tamara
